“Ladies and gentlemen, my brother is dead.” So begins SOLO: a two-person show, an insightful physical comedy about two brothers who find themselves enmeshed in a puzzle about their lives and struggling to say good bye. The race is on – through steamy jungles, into the netherworld, and up a perilous mountain – to figure out how, and why, it all came to an end.

SOLO: a two-person show consistently leaves audiences in stitches and tears. Co-creators Matt Chapman and Josh Matthews create entire worlds using mime, sound effects, and acrobatics, displaying a kaleidoscope of eccentric characters and elegant imagery – all with a complicity reminiscent of real-life brothers. Exploring love and intimacy, death and loss, SOLO is a comedy of tragic proportions!

SOLO has played: Dell’Arte International (Blue Lake, CA), HERE Arts (New York, NY), FURY Factory (San Francisco, CA), Berkshire Fringe Festival (Great Barrington, MA), Lawrence Arts Center (Lawrence, KS), Performance Works NW (Portland, OR), Theatre Off Jackson (Seattle, WA), San Francisco Mime Troupe Studio (San Francisco, CA), The Cosmic Cafe (Placerville, CA), The Mercury Lounge (Denver, CO), The Rudyard Kipling (Louisville, KY), Soundance (Brooklyn, NY), Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts (Norfolk, VA), Edmonton International Fringe Festival (Edmonton, AB), Jomfru Ane Teatret (Aalborg, DK), and Brobjarskolen (Aarhus, DK).
